SGMP Chapter in Formation
Boston, MA

Boston Area/New England Region Interest Group – Boston, MA

SGMP is in the process of forming a chapter to serve members in the Boston, Massachusetts area (but this group’s geographic boundary could possibly include all of New England). If you are interested in supporting the formation efforts of that chapter, or in affiliating with this chapter upon approval of its charter, you are encouraged to contact Kim Ainsworth in Boston (kim.ainsworth@gsa.gov and 617-565-6769) or Rob Bergeron, CAE, at the SGMP headquarters (rob.bergeron@sgmp.org and 703-549-0892).

This interest group held a kick-off Awareness Meeting in 2008 and now meets periodically. It is in the process of completing its chapter formation requirements—which include confirming membership of 35 chapter members—in order to formally request a charter from SGMP.

Government meeting professionals who do business the Boston area—or anywhere in New England—may declare their interest in affiliating with this group now to count toward their drive for 35 and their goal of chartering by the end of 2009.
