Rochester Area Interest Group – Rochester, NY
SGMP is in the beginning stages of forming a chapter to serve members in the Rochester, New York, area (but this group’s geographic boundary could include all of western New York). If you are interested in supporting the formation efforts of that chapter, or in affiliating with this chapter upon approval of its charter, you are encouraged to contact Mary Beth Lazarski in Rochester (lazarskim@gfhotels.com and 585-546-6400 x7278) or Rob Bergeron, CAE, at the SGMP headquarters (rob.bergeron@sgmp.org and 703-549-0892).
This interest group had not yet scheduled its kick-off Awareness Meeting but is forming its chapter steering committee that will manage the process of completing its chapter formation requirements—which include confirming membership of 35 chapter members—in order to formally request a charter from SGMP.
Government meeting professionals who do business the Rochester area—or anywhere in western New York—may declare their interest in affiliating with this group now to count toward their drive for 35 and their goal of chartering by the end of 2009.
