SGMP's Mission & Objectives have served the government meeting professional for 30 years!
Our mission is to enhance the knowledge and expertise of government meeting professionals. Our objectives are to improve the quality of, and promote the cost-effectiveness of, government meetings. SGMP is the only national organization in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to government meetings. SGMP delivers our membership value of education, resources and networking to our 3,500 members and through 32 chapters nationwide.

President's Vision 2011-2013

SGMP has had 14 national presidents over the last 31 years and each one has brought a special vision to advance our Mission & Objectives
Our current president's vision is for SGMP to be the premier member-based and member-focused organization in the meetings industry, specializing in the government market. We will accomplish this through: 1) continued growth at a sustainable level, 2) industry-leading educational resources and, 3) expanded national opportunities for member involvement.
