The Certified Government Meeting Professional designation ("CGMP") is designed for planners and suppliers whose work is governed by the rules and regulations of the federal government. Individuals who have earned their CGMP have obtained the highest designation available that is specifically for government meeting professionals.
You must be an SGMP member in good standing to participate in the class and exam. You must be able to document at least one year of experience in the hospitality industry. The $595 registration fee includes the four half-day training sessions ($300), the CGMP manual ($95) and and the exam ($200) that is administered on the morning of the fifth day. In order to sit for the exam, you must attend all four days of the course.
As a result of Covid19, SGMP is now offering monthly CGMP classes virtually. Each class is five 4-hour days, with the exam scheduled the Monday following the class to allow weekend study time.
Class registration is limited to 10 persons. There will be morning and afternoon classes available. Click below to see the schedules.
