SGMP Announces National Board and Gilmer Institute of Learning Candidates and Campaign Rules
SGMP and its National Nominations & Elections Committee are very excited to present this list of approved candidates for the 2022-2024 Gilmer Institute of Learning. Three trustee positions are up for election this year. Please review the full slate of candidates below.

Candidate profiles are posted online and includes each candidate’s picture, bio, and responses to two questions. The campaigning period for these elections starts Friday, January 27, 2023 at 8:00am Eastern time and ends at 11:59 pm Eastern time on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. We’d like to specifically refer you to the Campaign Rules and Guidelines Supplement page that itemizes and describes very important rules for candidates, chapter leaders and all members. A violation of these rules could result in a code of ethics inquiry and/or a candidate’s disqualification. All voting members (planners and suppliers) on the official election roster will be sent an electronic ballot on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. The election ends on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 5:00 pm Eastern time.
It is understood that SGMP members will have preferences among certain candidates and it is certainly acceptable that there will be discussions among members regarding nominations & elections issues and candidates. However, SGMP members are prohibited from endorsing or publicly promoting any one candidate or candidates.
