Campaign Rules

Candidate profiles will be posted online on February 23 to include each candidate’s picture, bio, and responses to three questions. The campaigning period for these elections starts February 23 and ends at 12:00 midnight Eastern time on Monday, March 1, 2021.  We’d like to specifically refer you to the Campaign Rules and Guidelines Supplement page that itemizes and describes very important rules for candidates, chapter leaders and all members. A violation of these rules could result in a code of ethics inquiry and/or a candidate’s disqualification. All voting members (planners and suppliers) on the official election roster will be sent an electronic ballot on Tuesday, March 2nd. The election ends on March 9, 2021.
It is understood that SGMP members will have preferences among certain candidates and it is certainly acceptable that there will be discussions among members regarding nominations & elections issues and candidates.  However, SGMP members are prohibited from endorsing or publicly promoting any one candidate or candidates.
