The campaigning period for these elections starts March 2, 2020, and ends at 12:00 midnight Eastern time on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. We’d like to specifically refer you to the Campaign Rules and Guidelines Supplement page that itemizes and describes very important rules for candidates, chapter leaders and all members. A violation of these rules could result in a code of ethics inquiry and/or a candidate’s disqualification. All voting members (planners and suppliers) on the official election roster will be sent an electronic ballot on Thursday, March 5th. The election ends on March 11, 2020.
It is understood that SGMP members will have preferences among certain candidates and it is certainly acceptable that there will be discussions among members regarding nominations & elections issues and candidates. However, SGMP members are prohibited from endorsing or publicly promoting any one candidate or candidates.
SGMP’s Nominations & Elections Committee is responsible for arranging and overseeing national elections consistent with SGMP bylaws and policy.
