2024 Conference Mobile App

This year’s conference will feature a convenient mobile app, sponsored by Ventla, for tracking your schedule, claiming your CE credits, interacting with sponsors, and learning about speakers.  You will be added to our event app based on the email you used in your NEC registration. This will allow your account to be permissioned for the content relevant to your registration. You may download the app anytime between now and the event to view the event schedule and session descriptions. Download the app here: https://welcome.ventla.io/sgmp-nec?eventid=704503. When you sign up for the app, be sure to use the same email address you used when registering for the NEC.

This year’s NEC will also feature digital credit tracking. To allow you to claim and track your credits in our new Learning Management Software (LMS), all those who have registered for the NEC will be enrolled in the NEC “class” online. This will allow you to claim credits for sessions attended at the NEC right from your phone! You may receive a notification about your enrollment in the NEC “class” – you do NOT need to do anything once you have been enrolled, and you may disregard the enrollment email. Complete instructions on how to claim your credits will be reviewed onsite at the NEC.

Omaha Eppley Airport & Ground Transportation

Getting to the NEC couldn’t be easier in 2024! The Hilton Omaha offers a free shuttle from Eppley Airport to the hotel. It’s just a quick 5-minute drive. You can always call Uber or Lyft, but the shuttle is super easy and free! Pickup is at Door 2, and you can call 402-998-3400 to alert the hotel you have arrived and to find out the time of the next shuttle.

Conference Facilities

The 2024 NEC will take place at the Hilton Omaha and CHI Convention Center. When you check into the hotel, be sure to let them know you’re with the SGMP group. Hotel staff will give you a special room key, sponsored by Discover Dunwoody, and direct you to the conference areas.

Enjoy meals, General Sessions, and visit the NEC Hub at CHI Convention Center. Just across the skyway and back at Hilton Omaha, the NEC breakout sessions will be held.

Navigating the NEC

If you’re new to SGMP, the NEC, or both, join us in Blackstone B at the Hilton Omaha on Tuesday, May 7th from 4:15 – 5:00 PM for this pre-conference session. We’ll help make sure you know what you need to know to get the most out of your NEC experience!

Opening Reception

Our opening reception will take place in the Grand Central Ballroom at the Hilton Omaha at 6:00 – 8:00 PM. This year’s reception will feature a DISCO theme, so bring out those bell-bottoms and roller skates! Special thanks to Visit Omaha and the Hilton Omaha for sponsoring our welcome reception.

Jump Start Your Day!

Jump start your day on Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:00 AM with GOAT YOGA sponsored by Wyndham Hotels. Meet in the lobby to proceed to the park and grab a goat! There is NO COST or separate registration to attend this event; sign up at the opening reception on Tuesday evening. We will have 2 sessions available at 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM and space is limited.

On Thursday, join us in the Hilton Lobby at 6:00 AM for our “Run to Iowa” and back! This run-walk will span from the Hilton Omaha, across the Missouri River, into Iowa, and back again. Bring your running shoes! 

Giving Back: National Charity & Silent Auction

National Conference Charity

Make a difference this year during the 2024 NEC by supporting our national conference charity, Completely KIDS. Completely KIDS educates and empowers KIDS and families to create a safe, healthy, successful and connected community. In supporting their mission, they assist more than 2,000 KIDS and their families via school, homeless shelter and other partnerships to overcome barriers to their success. SGMP and Hilton are happy to offer our support to this amazing charity that supports children’s growth and success. NEC Online Auction

SGMP’s Gilmer Institute of Learning is proud to raise funds for our NEC Scholarship program by hosting a Silent Auction at the NEC. What to Pack & CEU’s

Attire

Don’t forget to bring your DISCO party clothes for the opening reception! The conference sessions are business casual. For the Sam Gilmer Awards Reception and Dinner on Wednesday evening, attendees are encouraged to get fancy; however, this is NOT a requirement and business attire is acceptable.

CEU’s

The 2024 NEC has been approved for continuing education credit for both CGMP and CMP designations. CEU sheets will be available at registration in the NEC Hub and electronic credit tracking and certificates will be available. Instructions on how to claim your credits digitally will be reviewed in your first breakout session. Be sure to bring your personal mobile phone so you can track credits online.

Health & Safety

Currently, masks are not required to attend, however, if you prefer to wear a mask, please do. Please be prepared to adhere to any changes in local government policies.
