Program Description: DEIB initiatives have become increasingly important as agencies and departments strive to rise to the challenges and create a more equitable and inclusive workplace for ALL employees. The onset of workplace diversity training can be traced back to the introduction of EEO laws and affirmative action, so it has been around for a while! Today's DEI initiatives are designed to address all issues regarding employee discrimination, biases, differences of opinions, and marginalization and to create a culture of respect and inclusion for employees for all backgrounds. At our October 10 meeting, we will receive in-depth information on employee resource groups, recruitment and hiring practices, policy changes, and employee engagement and retention, and holding leadership accountable on all issues DEI in the workplace.
Please list three (3) take-aways from your presentation.: 1. Understand the DEIB initiatives that organizations must embrace today. 2. Recognize issues such an unconscious bias, differences in opinion, and employee marginalization. 3. Resolve DEIB issues for a better, more inclusive and productive workplace.
