Membership Ownership

Each SGMP membership requires a single individual representative who will receive the rights and benefits of membership in our Society. More than one individual at an organization may be a member of SGMP, but the memberships are not considered corporate or agency memberships.

Organizational Memberships

An "organizational" membership is paid for (and belongs to) the company/agency employing the individual and remains with that organization; the organization may transfer it to another individual. At no point is an entire organization considered an “organizational membership”.

If the dues payment that comes with a membership application is on a corporate check or credit card, that membership is marked as "organizational."

If a company or agency can show that they reimbursed a membership that was initially paid by a personal card or check, then that membership can be marked as organizational.

Individual Membership

An "individual" membership is paid for (and belongs to) the individual and remains with that individual regardless of their place of employment; it is not transferable to another individual.

If the dues payment that comes with a membership application is on a personal check or credit card, that membership is marked as "individual."
