SGMP & MPI Partnership
The Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI) have officially forged a strategic alliance to elevate the government meetings industry and boost the visibility of SGMP across the meeting professional space.
The Essentials:
- Effective Date: This two-year partnership officially begins January 1, 2026.
- Strategic Alignment: SGMP will be an official MPI industry partner, boosting the visibility and viability of SGMP across the broader meeting professional community.
- Knowledge Sharing: SGMP will contribute two articles annually to MPI’s The Meeting Professional magazine/blogs to showcase our expertise and boost the visibility of the CGMP.
- Major Event Access: SGMP will host a session and receive a registration for MPI’s World Education Conference (WEC), while MPI will participate in our National Education Conference (NEC).
- Digital Reach: The agreement includes dedicated email blasts and social media features to MPI’s global community to increase SGMP's visibility.
- Innovation: We are collaborating on a "gap analysis" to identify and develop new joint educational programming specifically for our members.
This agreement provides SGMP with high-value assets and visibility to ensure our Society remains a vital part of the global meeting professional landscape.
