Speakers

Rob CoffmanRob Coffman, CGMP
U.S. Department of the Treasury
Rob has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality and meeting/events industry. He started his career as a hotelier, holding various operational and sales and marketing positions with multiple hotel companies.

Then he switched roles and joined the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Washington, DC. Initially he worked in the Office of Special Events where he was responsible for all events and meetings involving the Secretary of the Treasury.  Rob and his team handled a multitude of events and events, including the G-7 and G-20 Finance Ministers' Summits and APEC Meetings. This afforded him the opportunity to travel around the world orchestrating events as far away as Beijing, Singapore, and Istanbul.

Currently Rob serves as the Chief of Operations at the Department of the Treasury, in Washington, DC. In this role he provides strategic leadership direction in various management policy and operational areas for the Department. His portfolio includes 12 operational branches, ranging from Protocol and Special Events to Building and Property Management, Office of the Curator, Fleet and Asset Management, Budget and Contract Administration, Safety and Health, 24/7 Treasury Operations Center, and Continuity of Government (COOP) responsibilities.

Over the years Rob has been an active member and board member of several industry associations, most notably SGMP. Rob was the 2014 recipient of the Sam Gilmer Planner of the Year recognition. Within SGMP he has served in a variety of leadership positions for more than 24 years, including 14 years on the national board and 4 years as National President.

Annie MeehanAnnie Meehan, CSP, BA in Ministry, Author of 11 Books
Annie Meehan is a professional keynote speaker, author, and transformational coach who inspires, educates, and activates her audiences with a clear and compelling message: Be the Exception. Before stepping into the spotlight, Annie spent nine years in the financial services industry, earning five promotions in a male-dominated workplace. She later became a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating two fitness franchises for over a decade and leading a thriving direct sales team. Her passion for health, wellness, and personal growth became a foundation for the empowering message she now shares with thousands each year.

Annie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry and brings a deep sense of purpose, faith, and encouragement to every stage she steps on. She is a member and past president of the National Speakers Association (NSA) Minnesota chapter, a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP)—the highest designation in the speaking profession—and a proud inductee into the NSA Minnesota Hall of Fame.

Annie is the author of 11 personal development books, including the award-winning Be the Exception and The Pineapple Principle, a refreshing take on customer service and hospitality. Her most recent passion project is helping organizations build H3 Cultures—Hopeful, Healthy, and Happy workplaces that retain engaged, motivated employees.

Now based in the Orlando, Florida area with her husband Greg, Annie enjoys adventuring with her family, volunteering in her community, and walking her beloved dog Leo. Whether she's on stage or one-on-one, Annie’s mission remains the same: to help others live fully, love boldly, and lead exceptionally.

Michael SteinbergMichael Steinberg
University Ombuds Michael Steinberg was appointed in September 2023. Prior to his work at OSU, he was a Senior Employee Relations Consultant for Cottage Health, the premier health network for Santa Barbara County. Michael also served as an ombuds at Columbia University and the University of California Santa Barbara. He was on staff at the Harvard Mediation program, where he worked as a mediator and trainer. He holds a BA from Connecticut College and a JD from Northeastern University School of Law. Michael adheres to the International Ombuds Association’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
