President's Quarterly Letter - January 2026
Dear SGMP NATCAP Members,
I am excited to return to the SGMP NATCAP Chapter as President. I am honored and energized to step into this role and serve.
I want to express my gratitude to our Past President, Ms. Melissa MacDonald, for inviting me to return as 1st Vice President with the understanding that we would serve together. As Melissa transitions into her new role at her job, I wish her success in a well-deserved promotion. Your dedication to this organization is honorable. I look forward to your continued support.
As President, my commitment is clear: to lead with purpose, transparency, and excellence—while always centering the value of you, our members. Members are the lifeline to SGMP. Every member matters. Your voice, your experience, your ideas, and your willingness to engage are what fuel this organization and move us forward.
SGMP NATCAP thrives because of volunteers who are willing to step up, serve, and shape the future of our chapter. I invite you to consider getting involved by joining one of our committees:

Dear NATCAP Members:
We recently sent out a survey to our members. Thank you to those that took the time to provide feedback. Some of it was hard to swallow, but we hope we can improve from here. Some of the changes will take time, but other changes you will see sooner. Please be patient with us!
The Programming Committee is working hard at finding speakers and dates for upcoming meetings. Once we have those, we will push out the information and open registration. The list of upcoming topics and tentative dates can be found on the Events page of our website. If you are a supplier and would like to host a monthly meeting or other special event, please let us know!
The NATCAP Board has recently gone through some growing pains and with those came some changes in the members on the Board. We’d like to introduce you to our new 1st Vice President – Cindy Barner and our new Director – Tiffany Carter. We are so happy to have them part of the Board. We do still have two (2) open Director positions. If you are a planner (government or contractor) and are interested, please reach out to us. There is a time commitment and it is volunteer based, so please make sure you can support the time required (estimate 2-8 hours a month).
Finally, we have decided to forgo a Holiday Party this year and instead will be doing a NATCAP 40th Anniversary Celebration in January! We will still be doing the silent auction as it’s a fundraiser for our scholarship program to send our members to the National Education Conference. Be on the lookout for an announcement of date and location and help us kick off our 40th year!
