It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I address you as the new President of the SGMP NATCAP Board of Directors for the remainder of the 2024-2025 term.

I would like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding leadership of my predecessor, Nicole Roames, whose dedication and vision have left a huge impact on both the NATCAP Chapter and SGMP as a whole. I would also like to formally thank former Director David President for his incredible contributions to the board as our membership liaison and I welcome newly elected Director, Jessica Robinson in his place. Jessica has played a huge role in so many exciting initiatives leading our membership committee, and we are grateful for her jumping in feet first in her role on the board.

As we step into this new year, the board and I will focus on providing you with quality education sessions, meaningful networking experiences and overall engagement to ensure we are all getting the most out of our memberships. With that in mind, we are excited to kick off a new NATCAP Member Mixer. We will hold these informal meetups every other month in various areas around VA, MD, and DC. 

We will also continue to rely on your valuable input to guide our efforts and help shape the future of the NATCAP Chapter. As you may know, we will be holding board elections in just a few months, and I know we have many strong potential candidates out there. If you have interest in serving in one of the following roles and have questions, please feel free to reach out:

• President (Government Planner or Contract Planner)
• 1st VP (Government Planner or Contract Planner)
• 2nd VP (Supplier or Contract Planner)
• Secretary (Government Planner or Contract Planner)
• Treasurer (Supplier or Contract Planner)
• Three director roles (Planner and Supplier)

I encourage each of you to stay engaged, share your ideas, and participate in upcoming events and initiatives.
